THE ROSIE PROJECT

Logo of the Community Fund with a smiling hand symbol and bold text.

Inspired by Rosie the Riveter 💪, the iconic symbol of strong, independent women from the 1940s - The Rosie Project is a women-led initiative created to empower women through practical DIY skills, confidence building, creativity, and connection in a safe female-only environment.

Over 25 workshops this project provides hands-on opportunities to learn home improvement, basic repairs, upcycling, decorating, tool safety and independent living skills 🏡🛠️plus a range of creative Arts and Crafts Workshops — helping women feel more confident in their homes and everyday lives.

More than just learning practical skills, the project is about building self-belief 🌸, reducing isolation 🤝, and creating supportive spaces where women can learn, share experiences, and grow together without judgement 💕

Whether someone is picking up a tool for the first time 🔩, learning how to make simple home repairs, or simply looking for community and encouragement, The Rosie Project is a welcoming place where women support women 👭💗

Delivered by Healing Homes Lancashire CIC, The Rosie Project combines wellbeing 🌿, empowerment ✨, and creativity 🎨 to help women rediscover their confidence, independence, and potential.
